Delivery setup
Delivery in Sellub is configured per seller with optional support for multiple carriers (Delivery Sources). You decide:
- Where you ship to (cities and regions),
- Through whom (Ghana Post, DHL, your own in-house couriers, etc.),
- How much the customer pays,
- From where (origin city) — useful if you ship from multiple warehouses.
Open My Store → Delivery to manage your rates.
Concepts
Destination
The customer’s city. Customers see only destinations you have an active rate for.
Carrier (Delivery Source)
A company that physically delivers the parcel. Three flavours:
| Type | Owner | Examples |
|---|---|---|
| Platform | Sellub | Ghana Post Logistics |
| Partner | 3rd party | DHL, FedEx |
| Seller | You | ”My in-house riders”, “Akua Delivery” |
You can attach a rate to a specific carrier or leave it as the default (“any carrier”) which applies as a fallback.
Origin city (optional)
If you ship from multiple cities, set an origin city per rate so the price differs accordingly. Leaving it blank means “applies regardless of origin”.
Adding a delivery rate
- Click Add Destination.
- Pick the destination city.
- Enter the price in GHS (the customer sees it in pesewas internally).
- Pick estimated delivery days.
- (Optional) Pick a carrier from the dropdown. If your custom courier isn’t listed yet, add it first via Add custom courier.
- (Optional) Set the origin city.
- Add Delivery Rate.
Customers will see this option at checkout and pick the carrier/price they prefer.
Adding a custom courier
If you operate your own delivery personnel, register them so customers can see the courier name on their order:
- Click Add custom courier.
- Choose a short code (lowercase, e.g.
my_inhouse_courier). - Pick a customer-facing display name (e.g. Akua Delivery).
- Optional: contact phone.
- Save. The courier appears in the carrier dropdown for new rates.
Custom couriers are private to your store. Other sellers can’t see or use them.
Lookup precedence
When a customer enters their destination city, Sellub picks the best matching rate per carrier in this order:
seller + carrier + origin = pickup city + destinationseller + carrier + (any origin) + destinationseller + (any carrier) + origin = pickup city + destinationseller + (any carrier) + (any origin) + destination
The customer sees one option per carrier they could pick from.
Removing or pausing a destination
- Toggle the Active switch to pause without deleting.
- Click the trash icon to remove permanently.
FAQ
What if no carriers cover a city? The customer sees “No delivery options available” at checkout for that destination. Add at least one rate to enable that city.
Can I price differently per carrier? Yes. Add one rate per (carrier, destination) combo. They show as separate options to the customer.
Is the customer charged the carrier directly? No — Sellub charges the customer once for the order including the delivery fee, then the seller is responsible for paying the carrier.
