For Reviewers

This guide is for the people who keep 3y3anaa honest: customers, clients, and anyone who wants to share — or read — an experience with a Ghanaian business.

End-to-end overview

1. Find a business

Use Discover (/discover) or the map (/map) to search. You can filter by:

  • Search — free text across name, description, owner, category, and place.
  • Category — restaurant, retail, services, healthcare, beauty, automotive, and more.
  • Region — narrow to your area.
  • Distance from you — within 5, 10, 25, or 50 km (uses your location).
  • Minimum rating — 4+, 3+, or 2+ stars.
  • Verified only — businesses with verified credentials.

Results sort by trust score (nearest first when you filter by distance). Each result card shows the trust score, a verified badge where earned, and category/region. You can save searches to re-run them later.

2. Read the trust score

Open a profile (/profile/[id]) to see the full Trust Score (0–100) and its five-component breakdown — community review quality, business responsiveness, resolution track record, verification signals, and external (Google) signals. A higher score means a more credible, more responsive, better-verified business.

The score is explainable on purpose — expand the breakdown to see exactly why a business scores the way it does. See Core Concepts.

The profile also shows:

  • Community reviews — with the author’s name, a Verified experience mark where it applies, and any complaint and resolution status. Review photos collect in the profile’s Gallery.
  • Business responses — public replies to complaints, and whether the issue was resolved.
  • Network reviews — reviews of this subject from other Duaba apps (e.g. Sellub), surfaced via the shared engine.
  • Google reviews — clearly labelled “From Google”, reference-only, never merged with community data.

3. Write a review

From a profile, choose Write a review (/write-review/[businessId]). The form captures:

FieldNotes
Rating1–5 stars. 1–2★ is treated as a complaint the business should respond to.
Review textYour experience, up to 5,000 characters. Longer, specific reviews score higher quality.
SuggestionOptional “what could be better” (up to 1,000 characters) — adds to review quality.
PhotosUp to 5.
Verified experienceMark if you actually transacted (raises weight).
Experience typeDine-in, takeout, delivery, in-store, online, service call, consultation, other.
Visit dateWhen it happened.
Tag people / locationOptional @mentions and a location pin.

One honest review goes a long way. Extreme ratings (1★ or 5★) with no explanation, copy-pasted text, or a burst of identical reviews are flagged by anti-abuse safeguards. Suspicious reviews may be shadow-weighted (shown, but left out of the Trust Score) or sent to a moderator — they are never silently deleted.

Once posted, a review can’t be edited or deleted from your account — removal goes through support, which keeps the history immutable.

4. Track resolution

When you file a complaint (1–2★), the business can respond publicly. Once they do, your review asks you, beneath their response, to confirm the outcome:

  • Resolved — the business fixed it.
  • Unresolved — it wasn’t fixed.

Your confirmation feeds the business’s Resolution Track Record, so honest follow-up directly improves (or protects) the accuracy of the score.

5. Mark helpful & report abuse

  • Mark helpful on reviews that helped you — one vote per person per review. Helpful votes also raise that reviewer’s credibility.
  • Report a review you believe is fake, spam, or inappropriate. Reports are one-per-user; 3+ reports automatically send a published review to the moderation queue for under_review.

Your reviewer profile

Every reviewer builds a credibility score (0–100, starting at 50). It rises with review volume, helpful votes, account age, and varied ratings — and falls when moderators reject one of your reviews. At 70+ you’re marked a trusted reviewer and your reviews carry more weight in the Trust Score.

Community

Beyond reviews, 3y3anaa has a Community hub (/community) for posts, discussions, and an activity feed — somewhere to ask “has anyone used X?” before you buy.
