Seller approvals
Where
Seller Applications in the sidebar (or Sellers → Applications in Pro Mode).
Visible to: SuperAdmin, Platform Admin, Platform Operations, Platform Support, Platform Onboarding.
Application states

Reviewing an application
Open the application
Click the row in Seller Applications. You’ll see the form data, the chosen store type, and the verification status.
Verify the basics
- Real business name (not “test” or gibberish)
- Real, reachable phone and email
- The “what you plan to sell” description matches a real category — not vague (“various items”) and not prohibited (firearms, drugs, counterfeits)
- Email verification badge is green
Decide
- Approve → creates the seller account, channel (for Type 2), and sends the welcome email with credentials.
- Request information → sends a templated email asking for clarification. Application stays open.
- Reject → closes the application. Choose a reason from the dropdown so the applicant gets a useful email.
What happens on approval
- A
CustomerandChannelare created (channel only for Type 2/4). - A seller
Administratoris created with role Seller scoped to that channel. - A temporary password is generated.
- Welcome email is sent containing dashboard URL + temp password.
- Application is marked
Approvedwith timestamp + reviewer name.
⚠️
The temp password is only stored in the welcome email. If the seller doesn’t get the email, resend from the application detail page rather than trying to recover the password.
Bulk approvals
Not currently supported. Each application is reviewed individually so we can spot fraud and category fit.
